Serbian Novak Djokovic the world number strongly way to quarter-finals of the Montreal Masters by winning 6-2, 6-1 Jack Sock on Thursday to enhance the series of victories in the Masters Series to 28 straight wins.

He took Djokovic - who won the title of the tournament which will be held in Canada on hard pitches three times before - for about 54 minutes before the US rival strained from the number of games to book their place in Doralosmanih.

Frenchman Jeremy Chardy reached the quarter-finals by defeating Croatian Ivo Karlovic 4-6, 7-6, 6-4.
