World Basketball Cup held in China in 2019
FIBA announced after a meeting in Tokyo on Friday that the World Cup for men will be held in Beijing China 2019.
China was favoring the nomination of the Philippine file.
The star of the pro Yao Ming NBA ambassador for his country's file, while viewing the famous Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao file.
The competitions will be held in eight cities including Beijing, which hosts the final.
FIBA will start work with a new system of qualifying for the tournament qualifiers, where will continue for 15 months between 2017 and 2019 to qualify 32 teams to the finals of China.
The United States was crowned world champion in the last edition held in Spain in 2014.
