Former Barcelona and Spain legend Xavi has revealed he would have played for either Manchester United or Liverpool if he was given his pick of Premier League clubs.

The 35-year-old was an essential part of arguably the greatest team in history at the Nou Camp, where he won eight La Liga titles and four Champions Leagues before moving to Qatar to finish his career with club Al Sadd.

Xavi says there are many great teams in the Premier League, although he admitted that United would edge them as his 'favourite'.
