Jose Mourinho SACKED by Chelsea

Jose Mourinho Sacked: Just 7-months after Jose Mourinho headed Chelsea towards the Premier League title, the reigning Premier League Champions have sacked the Portuguese from his job today. There were rumors that the axe will fall any day after that defeat to Leicester and it has finally happened.

His 2nd tenure as the manager of Chelsea was full of highs and lows. After finishing 3rd in his maiden Season with the club after reunion, Jose Mourinho went on to win two titles in the subsequent 2014/15 Season.

However, thanks to the circumstances that have been unprecedented so far, the League form of Chelsea football club piled pressure upon the Portuguese. Monday night defeat at Leicester meant that Chelsea suffered their 9th defeat of the Season with just 16-matches on the board.

As far as his replacement at the Chelsea hot-seat is concerned, many sources suggest that the Blues have already lined up a replacement to replace the Portuguese. Similar to many of the other mid-Season sackings by Roman Abramovich, the Russian looks set to appoint a temporary manager for the remainder of the Season.
