Barcelona face Bate Borisov in the Champions League at the Nou Camp
Luis Suarez could pass Romario and Diego Maradona on Wednesday night with the forward nearing the goalscoring records of Barcelona greats.
Romario and Maradona each played two seasons for Barca, scoring 39 and 38 goals respectively.
Spanish newspaper Sport write Suarez can make 'history' by adding to his 36-goal tally against Bate Borisov in their Champions League tie at the Nou Camp.
The former Liverpool striker has 36 goals in 58 appearances ‒ an impressive 0.62 goals-per-game average ‒ and has netted 10 times in La Liga and the Champions League this season.
Mundo Deportivo write: 'Luis Suarez is two goals from the 38 of Maradona in 58 games. Barca look to qualify for the next round with good football in a demanding environment'
Spain's other newspapers, meanwhile, aren't as kind to Barcelona's rivals Real Madrid.
Rafa Benitez's Real sealed their place in the Champions League last 16 with a 1-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain at the Bernabeu but it was not enough to please the media.
Marca describe their victory over PSG as a 'poor game' in their headline and add: 'Madrid suffer to win but are already qualified. PSG had Los Blancos at their mercy in the first half.'
It gets no better for Benitez on the front page of AS, whose headline reads: 'Miracle at the Bernabeu.' They add: 'Madrid win with a fluke goal and receive three shots against the woodwork.'
