Pep Guardiola says he has no doubts about Pedro’s ability to make it at Manchester United if he replaces Angel Di Maria at Old Trafford.
United are close to selling the Argentine to Paris Saint-Germain and Pedro has been lined up as his replacement in a €30million (£21m) move that would end his 10-year stint at the club.
No one knows the 28-year-old better than the man who gave him his Barcelona debut and Guardiola said: ‘He has played millions of games for Barcelona and if you play millions of games for Barcelona then that shows the quality you have. He is a World Champion; he is a European Champion; he has won the Champions League with his club and many leagues.

'There is absolutely no doubt about his quality. He has the ability to play in any team in the world and in any league in the world. I don’t know what will happen. I’m not at Barcelona so I can’t say whether he will move or not but I do know that I wish him the best because he’s a top player and top person.’
Pedro won promotion under Guardiola in the Barcelona B team in 2008 and when the now Bayern Munich manager took over as Barça first team coach he took Pedro up from the B-team to the senior team.

Pedro won 14 trophies under Guardiola including six out of his six in his first seasosn in charge – something that Barcelona had never done before and are now trying to emulate.
Guardiola was also asked about former Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger and the Catalan coach said he hoped the midfielder would be able to put behind him three years of injury problems.
